Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living (SAIL)
For those with long-term physical disability, SAIL assists with equipment and supplies, such as mobility aids, and prostheses. SAIL also manages Special Benefit Programs, including an Ostomy Program.
Supplementary Health Program
Additional services are provided to certain people identified by Saskatchewan Social Services. A supplementary health card is supplied for those eligible for coverage under this program.
Family Health Benefits
Some additional coverage is extended to lower-income working families in conjunction with provincial income support programs. Most benefits are for children under 18 and are similar to those in the Supplementary Health Program.
Special Support Program
Families and individuals whose annual covered prescription costs exceed 3.4% of their annual income are eligible for special support. In this case, family income is adjusted by deducting $3500 for each dependent child under 18 years old.
