Drug Coverage in Nunavut
Nunavut health care does not cover prescription drugs.

For First Nations, Inuit and Innu residents of Nunavut, prescription drug coverage can be applied for through the federal Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. For Nunavut residents receiving income support, some coverage may be available through the Indigent Health Benefits program. For non-aboriginal Nunavut residents diagnosed with a disease/condition or for some seniors, coverage may be accessed through Extended Health Benefits (EHB).

Coverage of Ostomy Supplies
The people of Nunavut are covered by the First Nations Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) for ostomy supplies. Much like coverage of medications, a prescription is required. The prescription must be filled at a pharmacy capable of 3rd party billing, which may not be available at all pharmacies.
